Lindsborg, Kan. – It was a match full of close matches that didn't go the way of the Bulldogs as they lost 6-3 to NAIA No. 8 Bethany College. McPherson now holds the No. 2 seed for the upcoming tournament.
The close matches began in doubles where the 'Dogs were able to win two of the three points. The Carrillo duo won 8-6 as did Hugo Ball-Greene and Allen Darmawan at the No. 3 position. Joan-Marc Fajula Rodriguez and Ahmed Lahlou lost 8-5.
Mac needed three points to take the match but the home team Swedes were not going to give up points easily. Bethany took the lead after winning at No. 2 and No. 3 singles but Mac took it back with Ball-Greene's win at the No. 4 position 6-1, 6-2. A three-set loss at the No. 6 position ended the match in favor of BC.
Being the No. 2 seed, McPherson will take on No. 3 Friends University in the opening round of the 2015 KCAC Postseason Tournament which is slated for April 25th at the Riverside Racquet Club in Wichita, Kansas. The venue could change if inclement weather arises.
