Kansas City, Kan. – The McPherson College men's tennis team recently spent several days in Missouri, facing both NAIA and NCAA tennis squads. The Bulldogs ended their trip with a 2-2 record, defeating NAIA opponents Graceland University and Missouri Valley University but losing to NCAA D-II Rockhurst University and NCAA D-II Univ. of Missouri-Kansas City.
In their opening match of the week, the Bulldogs fought tough but fell 6-3 to Rockhurst. Ahmed Lahlou earned two of the three points with wins at No. 2 doubles and No. 2 singles. Click here for a complete box score.

The Missouri trip ended on a high note as the Bulldogs went to Missouri Valley College and knocked off NAIA No. 25 Missouri Valley College 7-2. Mac swept the doubles points then won at the top two singles positions to secure the win. Freshman Timo Hoelzmann won his first matches as a Bulldog, playing at No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles.
