WICHITA, Kan. - The fifth installment of the KCAC BaseballSavings.com Game of the Week features the Friends University Falcons at the McPherson College Bulldogs this Friday, April 1 with the first pitch at 5 p.m.
Friday's games will be available through the

The Falcons are currently 13-19 overall this season and enter the series in McPherson, Kan., with a 5-11 KCAC record. Friends is coming off an 2-2 weekend against Bethany on March 25-26. The Swedes took game one, 4-1, but the Falcons came back to take game two, 6-1, Friday night. Friends and Bethany went seven scoreless innings in game three on Saturday but the Falcons scored one in the bottom of the eighth to take the game, 1-0, before the Swedes found some runs in the final game and defeated Friends, 5-2, in game four.
Garrett Heath currently leads the Falcons with a 0.339 batting average, playing and starting in all 32 games so far this season. Heath also has a team-high 21 runs, 40 hits, two home runs and 118 at-bats. Jordan Climpson leads the team with 13 doubles, 21 RBI's, and eight stolen bases in 32 games this season. Climpson currently has a 0.319 batting average in 113 at-bats with 15 runs, 36 hits, two triples, and 15 walks. As a team, Friends is ranked 21st in the NAIA in triples (12). On the mound, Brett Clark leads the Falcons and the KCAC with a 2.10 ERA in nine games, striking out a team-high 38 batters in 68.2 innings pitched. So far this season, Clark has held opponents to a 0.230 batting average, allowing just nine walks so far this season.
McPherson enters the weekend with a 16-19 overall and a 6-10 conference record. The Bulldogs split their series with Oklahoma Wesleyan on March 25-26, winning both games on Friday, 7-4 and 5-3, respectively. The Eagles came back on Saturday, winning game three 10-2 before defeating McPherson, 16-6 in the final game to tie the series.
Dylan Klava leads the team with a 0.378 batting average in 35 games this season, tallying a team-high 42 hits, eight doubles, five home runs, and 39 RBI's in 111 at-bats. Trent Smith has a team-high 14 stolen bases, which is tied for third in the KCAC. Blake Ware leads the Bulldogs on the mound with a 1.65 ERA in 27.1 innings pitched. Ware is 4-1 on the year so far with six saves, allowing six runs, 20 hits, and just five walks, while striking out 17 in 15 games. Ware is ranked 10th in the NAIA in saves, while Klava is 26th in RBI's. As a team, McPherson is ranked ninth in steal attempts per game (3.057), 14th in total stolen bases (74), and 20th in stolen bases per game (2.114).
