Wichita, Kan. – After falling behind 2-1 after doubles play, the McPherson College men's tennis team won five of the six singles spots to claim a 6-3 win over the Friends University Falcons on Thursday.
The Bulldogs only won one of the doubles points as Ahmed Lahlou and Hugo Ball-Greene took down Friends' No. 2 tandem. McPherson's top duo pair of Joan-Marc Fajula Rodriguez and Hector Carrillo Perales battled tough but lost their match 9-8.
MC took all but the No. 6 singles positions. Timo Hoelzmann had the easiest go, winning 6-0, 6-2 at the No. 5 spot. Fajula Rodriguez brought the match home for the 'Dogs with his 4-6, 6-4, 6-1 triumph at the top spot.
