McPherson, Kan. – It was a clean sweep for the MC men's tennis team as they took down Ottawa University 9-0 without dropping a single set; the 'Dogs have started their 2016 KCAC campaign in good shape.
Ottawa played with just five players on Saturday, giving Mac a 2-0 lead from the get-go with wins in No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles. The two competing doubles teams made it through the Braves with ease, winning 8-2 at the No. 1 spot (Ahmed Lahlou and Hugo Ball-Greene) and 8-6 at No.2 (Timo Hoelzmann and Kurt Burton).
Leading 4-0 with the three doubles points and the win at No. 6 singles, a quick victory for Juan Alejandro Jimenez at the No. 3 position gave the 'Dogs the match. Mac went on to win 9-0, losing just 14 games in the five singles competitions.
