Winfield, Kan. – It was a clean sweep for the McPherson College men's tennis team as they took down Southwestern College 9-0 on a windy Wednesday. The win puts Mac at 2-0 in the KCAC and 6-6 on the year.
The doubles was all but a breeze for McPherson as they only gave up eight total games. The No. 3 duo of Ahmed Lahlou and Timo Hoelzmann knocked down their opponents 8-0 to lead the charge.
In singles, MC only had one position to be worried about but after losing the opening set, Hoelzmann bunkered down and went on to win 3-6, 6-2, 10-1 at No. 5. Joan-Marc Fajula Rodriguez dismantled his opponent at the No. 1 spot, 6-0, 6-1. Losing just two games was Hector Carrillo Perales as he won 6-1, 6-1 at No. 2 singles. Altogether McPherson dropped just 14 games in five of the six singles positions.

Mac will keep the KCAC train going this weekend as they travel to Salina, Kansas to face Kansas Wesleyan University at 3:00 p.m. (CT)
