Kansas City, Mo. – The McPherson College volleyball team pushed their winning streak to six matches with a sweep of Avila University on Tuesday night. 
The Bulldogs came out of the gates quickly against the Eagles, winning the opening set 25-14. They kept things rolling early in the second set, building up a substantial lead, but some flat play midway through the set allowed the Eagles to stay close. The Bulldogs found their groove again late in the set and were able to pull away and win the second 25-21. 
There was no let down in the third set as the Bulldogs kept their foot on the gas the entire set, and cruised to a 25-13 win to complete the sweep.

The key statistic for the Bulldogs was their defense. They tallied 47 total digs, and gave up just 21 kills to the Eagle hitters. They held Avila to a .094 attack percentage.

 With the win, the Bulldogs move to 10-5 overall and are now 6-0 in conference play.  The Bulldogs will be back on the court on Saturday when they go on the road to play the Oklahoma Wesleyan Eagles at 6:00 pm.
