St. Louis, Mo. – The McPherson College women's basketball team traveled to St. Louis, Mo. on Friday to take part in a Holiday Classic hosed by the University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy. The Bulldogs opened the tournament, taking on the William's Baptist University Eagles out of Walnut Ridge, Arkansas.
The Bulldogs trailed the Eagles by one, 23-22, after the first quarter of action, but were out-scored 28-19 in the second quarter to head into the locker room down ten, 51-41 at the break. The Eagles extended their lead over the Bulldogs in the third quarter, winning the period 27-22, and taking a 15 point lead into the final ten minutes of action.
In the fourth quarter, the Bulldogs out-scored the Eagles 24-23, but it wasn't enough to dig themselves out of the hole they created in the first three periods. In the end, the Bulldogs fell to the Eagles 101-87.
