Crete, Neb. – The McPherson College men's and women's tennis teams were back in action on Sunday, traveling to Crete, Nebraska for a match-up with Doane University, one of the perennial powerhouses in the GPAC conference.
The Bulldog women picked up where they left off with Bethany College on Saturday, winning two of the three doubles matches to secure the doubles point, and then winning five of the six singles matches to win the dual 6-1. Their only singles loss was on the #1 line, and their doubles loss came at #2.

On the men's side, the Bulldogs had another strong showing against a talented NAIA squad. They were clicking on all cylinders during the doubles portion, sweeping all three matches and dropping just two games between the three. In singles, they continued to roll, winning five of the six matches, all in straight sets. The only loss was on the #1 line and that match went to three sets.

Coach Allen commented on the results saying, "We got off to a strong start in doubles, I was really pleased with both teams. In Singles we fought back extremely hard, showing that grit that I have been looking for all season. Hopefully we will continue this for the rest of the year."
With the win, both Bulldog teams move to 3-1 overall. They will host the Ottawa University Braves on Wednesday at the Bulldog Tennis Center, in a match that could have big ramifications on the conference outlook the rest of the season.
