Lindsborg, Kan. - The McPherson College men's team began their march to a 7th straight KCAC championship with a 6-1 win over their rivals from up North, the Bethany College Swedes. Coach President went with a completely different lineup than he has previously used this season, and it paid off.
The mixed up doubles pairings didn't seem to affect the Bulldog chemistry on court as they swept all three doubles matches, and dropping just two games total.
Leading 1-0 after the doubles portion of the dual, the Bulldogs mixed up their normal singles lineup, resting no. 1 Michael Beltran and moving everybody else up one line. The only hiccup came on the no. 5 line where Zhiyuan Wei lost a third set tiebreaker after the match had been clinched.
Below are the men's scores.

"Great way to open up conference play today on both ends," said Coach President. "It was a bit cold but we stuck through it and did what we needed to do. We want to keep that ball rolling into our next match and the rest of the season."
With the win, the Bulldogs move to 3-1 overall, and 1-0 in conference action. They will be back on the court this Saturday when they go on the road to take on the Ottawa University Braves. First serve is scheduled for 10:00 am.
