Emporia, Kan. – The Bulldog men's tennis team picked up another win over a NCAA DII opponent, this time in an exhibition format, against the Emporia State University Hornets. The Bulldog won two of the three doubles matches and then four of the six singles matches to defeat the Hornets 5-2.
The Bulldogs took a 1-0 lead after the doubles portion of the dual, but winning on the no. 2 and no. 3 lines. They just missed out on a sweep, but were upended at no. 1, by a break of serve 6-4. In singles, the MC lads got their four wins at no. 1, no. 3, no. 5, and no. 6. In their losses at no. 2 and no. 4, the Bulldogs were right there, but came up just a little short.

Coach President commented on the Bulldogs' win saying, "The men have been consistent around the board. As a team were satisfied with how we played. This was a good match for us going into this last week of regular season and Conference tournament play."
The Bulldog remain 10-1 on the season. They will be back on court Wednesday, travelling to play Tabor College at 3:00 pm.
