Bartlesville, Okla. – The Bulldog men's tennis team was in action this weekend down in northeast Oklahoma, taking on the Oklahoma Wesleyan University Eagles. The Bulldog women had the weekend off because OKWU doesn't have a women's team competing this spring. For the men, they handled their business, defeating the Eagles 5-2.
They opened by taking two of the three doubles matches to secure the doubles point. The Bulldogs picked up their doubles wins on the no. 2 and no. 3 lines, but lost a close set at no. 1, 6-4. Leading 1-0, the dual was never really in doubt. The Eagles were able to sneak a couple of wins from the Catala brothers at no. 1, and no. 3, but the Bulldogs won the other four singles matches relatively easily.
Below are the men's scores.

Coach President commented on the Bulldogs' win saying, "It was a great day in Oklahoma. Weather was great, something we just haven't seem to have had much of, so we definitely enjoyed it. Had some slow starts all round in doubles and singles play, but once we got the ball rolling we were able to take care of business. We are now looking ahead to our next match against the threshers!"
The Bulldog men are now 7-1 on the season and remain perfect in the KCAC at 4-0. The Bulldog women will be on the road Tuesday at Fort Hays State University, the men won't be in action again until Thursday, when both teams host the Bethel College Threshers at the Bulldog Tennis Center. First serve is slated for 10:00 am.
