McPHERSON, Kan. — The McPherson College Bulldogs held a 2-1 lead late, but a goal in the 77th minute by the Friends University Falcons tied the ballgame, forcing a 2-2 draw at McPherson Stadium Saturday (Sep. 30).
The Falcons scored in the 36th minute to take the lead, but the Bulldogs answered with a pair of goals by Anthony Pereira in the 50th minute and the 68th minute.
Kyle Barron made a couple of key saves to keep the Bulldogs in the lead, but a shot by Sora Shibata found the back of the net to level the score.
Dawson Sawyer and Nathan Van Wyck tried to put the Bulldogs back on top in the last 10 minutes, but were unable to beat the Falcons goalkeeper.
Barron made eleven saves for the Bulldogs, while Pereira and Sergio Najera each finished with two shots-on-goal.
The Bulldogs remain at home Wednesday (Oct. 4) to take on Bethel College. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
