BARTLESVILLE, Okla. — The McPherson College Bulldogs traveled to Bartlesville, Okla., Friday (Sep. 22) to square off against the No. 10-ranked Oklahoma Wesleyan University Eagles, but fell 5-0 in the afternoon showdown.
Joao Neves scored the first of his three goals, in the sixth minute to put the Eagles on top early. The Eagles then tacked on a flurry of goals in a span of five minutes, starting with a Vitor Meirinho goal in the 22nd minute. Stefan Cvetanovic and Neves put the Eagles up 4-0.
The Eagles wrapped up the scoring in the first minute of the second half, with Neves finding the back of the net.
OKWU finished with 29 shots and 13 on net. The Bulldogs were held to just two shots, both on target. Camden Wiseman got the start in net for MC and made eight saves.
The Bulldogs are back in action on Wednesday (Sep. 27) at Sterling College. Kickoff is slated for 4:30 PM.
