LINDSBORG, Kan. — The McPherson College Bulldogs swept the Bethany College Swedes to open KCAC play Monday (Mar. 18) in Lindsborg, Kan.
The Bulldogs secured the doubles point thanks to three 6-1 wins in each spot to take the early 1-0 lead.
Michael Beltran opened the singles competition with a 6-0, 6-3 win in the top singles spot, then Oscar Brouwer matched with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Carlos Rodriguez Rivas.
Martin Millos won in three sets to clinch the win for the Bulldogs before Daniel Marcano put MC on top 5-0. Then, Simon Delgadillo and Texas Ranger Schmidt finished with matching 6-0, 6-0 wins to complete the sweep.
The Bulldogs are back in action Wednesday (Mar. 20), playing host to Kansas Wesleyan University at the Bulldog Tennis Center.
