EMPORIA, Kan. — The McPherson College Bulldogs fell to NCAA Division II Emporia State 7-0 on Tuesday (Apr. 9) in Emporia, Kan.
The Hornets made quick work of the doubles point, winning on all three courts, by dropping just three games.
Kayla Ortiz was the lone Bulldog to force a third set, winning the opening set 6-3, before falling in set two by an identical score then dropping the tiebreaker 10-7. Camila Sanchez fought hard on court one, but fell 6-3, 6-3 to Perla Conde.
Angelina Gnezdilova clinched the match for the Hornets, taking down Taimi Nashiku 6-3, 6-1.
The Bulldogs hit the road again on Thursday (Apr. 11), traveling to take on Sterling College.
