STERLING, Kan. — The McPherson College Bulldogs got back on track with a 7-0 sweep against the Sterling College Warriors Thursday afternoon (Apr. 11) in Sterling, Kan.
The Bulldogs swept the doubles point thanks to a pair of 6-1 wins on courts one and three, while Texas Ranger Schmidt and Oscar Brouwer won 6-4 on court two.
Martin Millos put the Bulldogs on top 2-0 with a quick 6-0, 6-0 win over David Garces, then Arthur Nardy pushed the lead to 3-0 with a 6-2, 6-1 win over Arthur Nardy.
Michael Beltran sealed the win for the Bulldogs with a 6-2, 7-5 win on court one, then Marcus Nardy avoided dropping the only set for the Bulldogs with a 7-6 (2), 6-2 win over Alex Gaboardi.
But the Bulldogs weren't done their, looking for their eighth sweep of the season. Brouwer kept it going with a 6-1, 6-1 win over Zack Hash, then Celien Botlan clinched the sweep with a 6-3, 6-0 win over Abhyudit Nagar.
MC hits the road this weekend, traveling to Winfield, Kan. to take on Southwestern College.
