PITTSBURG, Kan. – The McPherson College men's track and field team earned a 14
th-place finish at the NAIA/JUCO Challenge.
The squad totaled nine points on Saturday. The Bulldogs were led by
Lamar Gordon's second-place effort in the weight throw. He posted a mark of 16.87m, edging a KCAC foe by .01m for the silver medal.
Kenjuan Hampton turned in a solid time of 8.56 in the 60m hurdles. The freshman earned an eighth-place finish for his effort.
Nicolas Tornay narrowly missed out on a top-20 finish in the long jump after garnering an effort of 6.13m. The effort was good enough for 21
st. Kobe Brown crossed the finish line in 7.09 in the 60m event. His time was good enough for 54
th.
The Bulldogs return to action next week at a meet hosted by the University of Colorado on Jan. 31-Feb. 1. Part of the team will also compete at a meet hosted by Washburn University.
