MCPHERSON, Kan. – The McPherson College women's tennis team wrapped up a daunting four-match road swing Saturday afternoon.
The Bulldogs are now 7-7 after dropping all four contests.

Craig Holman's team opened the road trip against Campbellsville (RV). Campbellsville won the match 6-1. The Bulldogs' lone win came via
Vanessa Hofer at No. 2 singles. After dropping the first set 6-0, she bounced back and won the next two frames by scores of 6-4, 6-2. Top-seeded
Alexandria Garcia and sixth-seeded
Bella Ellerbee lost three-set matches. Garcia fell 4-6, 7-6, 3-6 while Ellerbee lost 6-4, 4-6, 5-7.
At No. 19 University of the Cumberlands, Ellerbee snagged the team's lone win in the 6-1 loss. She posted a 6-4, 5-7 win.
Taimi Nashiku lost a three-set match at No. 3 by scores of 3-6, 6-4, 3-6.
Against No. 3 Lindsey Wilson, the Bulldogs lost a 7-0 decision. Garcia fell by a 6-3, 6-1 count at the top singles spot while Hofer dropped a 6-0, 6-4 match at No. 2 singles.
At No. 20 William Woods, MC fell by a hard fought 4-3 count. The Bulldogs secured the doubles point after Ellerbee and Nashiku won at No. 2 doubles 6-3. Third-seeded
Pia Hinricher and
Laureen Van Drunen accounted for a 7-6, 7-6 win, taking the point for the visitors.
Down 3-1, Nashiku pulled the Bulldogs within one after a stellar 6-0, 7-6, 7-5 win at No. 3. Although WWU secured the win with a victory at No. 4, Hinrihcer posted a 6-0, 6-4 victory at No. 5.
The Bulldogs return to action Monday when they host Kansas Wesleyan at 3 p.m., in a KCAC match.
