McPHERSON, Kan. — In the final week of the regular season, a strong showing by Marcus Patton gets rewarded as he has been named the KCAC's player of the week for the first time in his Bulldog career.

"Marcus has been one of our best hitters all year," head coach Chris Dawson said. "It's good to see him get recognition for his hard work. He had a great week and helped carry us to 3 wins and hopefully he stays hot for us as we go into the conference tournament."

The junior out of Michigan appeared in all four games that MC played this week and was exceptional as he went 6-14 at the plate, four of those hits being good for extra bases. Patton was also able to smash a pair of homeruns and drove across 10 total runs. Playing third base for MC, Patton was just as good in the field as he recorded a pair of putouts while assisting in five outs all while being reasonable for no errors.

Patton and the Bulldogs will look to keep it rolling as they will match up with the Ottawa Braves to kick off the KCAC tournament on Wednesday, April 30.
