WICHITA, Kan. — In just her freshman season, Savannah Robles was named to the All-KCAC Third Team, and grabbed her first Gold Glove honor, the league announced Monday evening.
"Savannah did a tremendous job for us in the outfield this spring," head coach Abby Bolton said. "As a freshman, she displayed impressive leadership and toughness beyond her years."
Robles, a native of Irving, Texas, led the Bulldogs with 36 hits and an OBP of .350. She also was second on the team with 19 RBIs and hit two triples and a home run in her first year as a Bulldog.
Not only was Robles outstanding at the plate, but she was sure handed in the field, finishing the season with a perfect fielding percentage with 55 putouts, one assist, and no errors.
"I'm excited to watch her continue to develop and make an even greater impact in the seasons ahead," Bolton said.
