Ottawa, Kan. - The McPherson College men's team began moved to 2-0 in the KCAC with a dominant 6-1 win on the road against the Ottawa University Braves.
The Bulldogs took a 1-0 lead, taking the doubles points with wins at no. 2 and no. 3. They nearly had a sweep, but the no. 1 team of Jakob Komel and Trey Murphy came up short, losing in a tiebreaker 7-6 (6).
They kept their foot on the gas in the singles portion of the dual, winning five of the six matches played. The Bulldog wins came at no. 1, 2, 4, 5, and 6. Five of the six win came in straight sets. The only match that went to a third set was at no. 6 where Zhiyuan Wei won 10-7 in the third set tiebreak.

 "The men came out and played well today," said Coach President. "Seeing some improvements and making necessary adjustments during matches. We're still working on a few kinks that will make us a tougher team by the end of the season." He added, "Shout out to the Softball staff and team for stopping by before their game today!"
With the win, the Bulldogs move to 4-1 overall, and 2-0 in conference action. They are scheduled to be back on court Wednesday, hosting the Sterling College Warriors at the Bulldog Tennis Center at 3:30 pm.
