McPHERSON, Kan. — The McPherson College Bulldogs hosted NCAA Division II Emporia State University Monday (Mar. 6) and fell 4-3 at the Bulldog Tennis Center.
The Bulldogs got off to a hot start stealing the doubles point behind dominant performances by Millos/Beltran (6-3) and Murphy/Botlan (6-2).
Then, Celien Botlan made it a 2-0 Bulldog lead with a sweep of Sergio Vera Martin 6-1, 6-2.
But losses by Oscar Brouwer and Arthur Nardy tied the match, then Jordi Bou Sastre won a third-set tiebreaker over Martin Millos to seal the win for the Hornets.
