McPHERSON, Kan. — The McPherson College Bulldogs hosted Kansas Wesleyan University Wednesday (Mar. 20) and took care of business, beating the Coyotes 6-1 at the Bulldog Tennis Center.
The Bulldogs grabbed a 1-0 lead after Marcano/Brouwer swept Craft/Hanson, then Nardy/Botlan defeated Davalos/Phelps 7-5. The team of Martin Millos and Michael Beltran won in the top doubles spot 7-6 over Ware/Sherer.
Marcus Nardy made it a 2-0 Bulldog lead with a 6-1, 6-1 win over Alex Sherer, then Arthur Nardy followed suit with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Raul Davalos.
Bryce Ware put the Coyotes on the board with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Beltran, but from there the Bulldogs overpowered Kansas Wesleyan, as Oscar Brouwer (6-2, 6-2), Millos (6-3, 6-1), and Celien Botlan (6-4, 6-2) all picked up wins.
The Bulldogs are back in action on Saturday (weather-permitting) for a KCAC matchup against Oklahoma Wesleyan.
