WINFIELD, Kan. — The No. 18-ranked McPherson College Bulldogs men's tennis squad ran their conference winning streak to 45 consecutive regular-season matches Saturday (Apr. 13) with a 7-0 sweep over the Southwestern College Moundbuilders in Winfield, Kan.

The Bulldogs made quick work of the doubles point behind a pair of 6-0 sweeps by Brouwer/Marcano and Schmidt/Nardy.

MC carried a 3-0 lead into the singles competition due to Southwestern having just four players. Texas Ranger Schmidt clinched the victory with a quick 6-2, 6-0 win over Soleymon Claiborne, then Oscar Brouwer pushed the lead to 5-0 with a 6-0, 6-1 win over Jeremiah Johnson.

Ayden Johnson knocked off Suede Wanamaker 6-1, 6-0 to make it a 6-0 Bulldog advantage, then in the closest match of the day, Marcus Nardy took down Magnus Hauska 6-3, 6-3 on court one.

The Bulldogs hit the road for the final time in the regular season, traveling to take on Ottawa University on Thursday (Apr. 18).
