SHAWNEE, Okla. – The McPherson College women's track and field team put forth a good effort at the OBU Invitational, which wrapped up Saturday evening.
On Friday,
Cara Shultz accounted for a silver medal in the shot put with an effort of 12.82m.
Kara Alexander snagged fourth with a mark of 12.49m.
Stephanie Schmidt was 29
th (8.34m).
Schmidt and
Alexis Wolfe posted top-20 efforts in the javelin. Schmidt recorded a mark of 25.48m for 17
th while Wolfe accounted for a spot of 24.39m, which was good enough for 19
th. On Saturday, Schmidt accounted for a 12
th-place effort in the high jump (1.45m) while Alexander was 22
nd in the discus (29.99m)
The Bulldogs return to action Apr. 3-5 at the Friends Spring Open.
