SALINA, Kan. – The McPherson College women's track and field team had a solid showing at the Kansas Wesleyan Invitational, which wrapped up Saturday.
The Bulldogs were paced by
Cara Shultz's win in the discus. She posted a winning effort of 42.69m.
Kara Alexander took 21
st in the event with a mark of 29.21m. Shultz posted a seventh-place finish in the hammer throw after registering a mark of 37.14m. Alexander was 24
th (27.69m).
Alexander took second in the shot put after garnering a mark of 12.57m. Shultz's effort of 11.87m was good enough for fourth place.
Stephanie Schmidt finished 24
th (8.83m).
Johanna Walker posted a 34
th-place finish in the 1,500m after crossing the finish line in 6:38.59. She was 45
th in the 800m (3:12.55).
The Bulldogs return to action Apr. 24 at the Alex Francis Classic.
