Box Score MCPHERSON, Kan. – The McPherson College men's tennis team garnered a 5-2 victory over Sterling College Monday afternoon.
The Bulldogs are now 12-7 on the season, including 6-1 in KCAC action.
In doubles action,
Celien Botlan and
Oscar Brouwer teamed up for a 6-3 victory at the number one spot.
Simon Delgadillo and
Arthur Nardy notched a 6-4 win at the number two spot, securing the point.
Texas Ranger Schmidt and
Jayson Wasserfuhr dropped a hard-fought 6-4 match at the number three position.
Singles play Nardy accounted for a 6-3, 6-0 victory at the top slot. Brouwer needed a bit of extra time before besting his foe at number two by a count of 7-5, 6-2. Botlan registered a 6-4, 6-2 win at number three for the victors. Delgadillo posted a tightly-contested 7-6, 6-3 victory at number five for the team's final point of the match.
The Bulldogs return to action Thursday, Apr. 10, when they play at Avila starting at 2 p.m.
