Fede Snags First KCAC Women’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week

WICHITA, Kan. — Junior Mariah Fede has been named KCAC Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week following an outstanding showing at the Washburn Open, the league announced Monday (Feb. 5).

The Paramus, N.J. native hit an NAIA A Standard in two events at a meet that included NCAA Division I and Division II competition, as well as NJCAA products.

Fede finished tenth in the 400-meter with a time of 56.94 seconds, and came in 12^th in the 200-meter with a time of 24.73. In both events, she was the highest NAIA finisher.

She ranks 12^th in the NAIA in the 200-meter, 16^th in the 400-meter, and 20^th in the 60-meter hurdles.
