YORK, Neb. — The McPherson College Cheer and Dance teams traveled to York, Neb. Friday (Feb. 9) for the York Crown Classic.
The cheer team placed ninth out of 12 teams that competed at the Crown Classic, and finished with a score of 60.5. The Bulldogs finished ahead of Sterling College, York College, and Columbia College.
"I am incredibly proud of the team's performance," head cheer coach Krista Williams said. "They really brought the energy and executed a much cleaner routine. We know what we need to work on going into our next competition."
In the dance competition, the Bulldogs placed 13th with a final score of 43.77, their highest score of the season.
"We had a great time at the Crown Classic," head dance coach Kananda Skinner said. "Every competition we keep improving our score and getting better."
Both squads will be back in action Sunday (Feb. 18) in Atchison, Kan. for the Benedictine Challenge.
