Eddie Ball '54, McPherson, Kansas, remains the McPherson College football record holder for career touchdowns scored (42), career scoring (260 points), and highest season kickoff return (27.1) and punt return (15.1) averages. He received All-KCAC recognition in football three years including first team in 1952 and second team in 1953. He was a catcher on the school’s conference champion baseball team in 1952 and was named All-KCAC in baseball following the 1954 season. A biology graduate at McPherson College, Ball was the owner and manager of Ball and Sons Funeral Home in McPherson until his retirement.
