Gerald Henderson '85 (McPherson, Kan.) broke the McPherson College career rushing record of McPherson College Hall of Famer Gene Smith, when he rushed for 3,684 yards during the 1980-1983 seasons. One of the most durable running backs in Bulldog history, Henderson still holds the school record with 833 career rushing attempts. A four-time All-KCAC selection, three times first team, Henderson was named to the All-NAIA District 10 team following his senior season. As both a freshman and sophomore, Henderson rushed for over 1,000 yards (1,012 and 1,046 yards, respectively), highlighted by the final game of his sophomore season when he ran for 228 yards on 44 attempts in the Dogs’ 9-7 loss to Friends.

Presenting Henderson for induction was a former player under Henderson, and current Bulldog assistant coach, Terry Bruton.
