    Coach, Men's Basketball
Roger Trimmell was a 1973 graduate of McPherson College.  While attending MC, Trimmell played for the men's basketball team and was the captain for two seasons.  In the 1970-71 season, the point guard led the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) in free throw percentage at 84%.  He still holds the McPherson College record for most assists in a game with 16, a feat he accomplished during his junior season.

Though he was a good athlete for the Bulldogs, Trimmell is most known at McPherson for his coaching career and being the "Father of Dogball."  The Wamego, Kansas native was in charge of the men's basketball program from 1982-2008, 27 seasons.  He holds a career record of 371-345 and his teams qualified for the NAIA District 10 playoffs six times.  Trimmell's overall conference record is 221-211 which gives him the most victories in KCAC men's basketball history.  He was named KCAC Coach of the Year twice, once following the 1983-84 season and again in 1995-96 after a 12-4 record and second place finish in the conference.  The Bulldogs accumulated four second place finishes and four third place finishes.  He coached 61 all-conference athletes including three KCAC Players of the Year. Trimmell remains the winningest men's basketball coach in McPherson College history.

Trimmell was inducted twice into the Kansas Basketball Coaches Association Hall of Fame - once as a high school and college coach and then again as a member of the 1968 undefeated State Basketball Championship Wamego Red Raiders.

Roger lives with his wife Vikki Trimmell in McPherson.  They are the parents of two daughters, Emily and Allie.
