Career Highlights: 1974 national qualifier (shot put and discus), 1975 women’s basketball KCAC Championship team, 1975 set college records in shot put and discus, 1975 NAIA national qualifier in discus, 1975 member of ACCK Championship women’s track and field team.

After MC: Stone became a Middle school teacher and coach at Clearwater Middle School from 1976 to 1980. Following a stint in the insurance business, Stone joined the Wellington Social Rehabilitation Services office. She now works at the Winfield SRS as a human services supervisor. Outside of work, Stone devotes time to 4-H Club, Tulip Time Fun Run and as girl’s basketball coach for the Belle Plaine Recreational Organization.
