Kenny Romero was a four-year member of the McPherson College men's basketball team, twice earning NAIA All-America honorable mention (2002-03 & 2003-04). He was also a three-time first-team all-KCAC pick (2000-01, 2002-03, 2003-04) and the 2000-01 KCAC Freshman of the Year.
 
Upon exhausting his eligibility, Romero topped McPherson College's career charts in scoring (2,000 points), rebounds (920) and field goals made (796) and held the single-season mark for field goals made (244 in 2003-04). He averaged 18.2 points and 8.4 rebounds over his 110-game career.
 
He has been active in the McPherson community at St. Joseph Catholic Church and as a head coach for youth girls' basketball and softball.
 
Romero, who lives in McPherson with wife Kim (Taylor) '04, works at Williams Energy and also serves as an assistant for the McPherson College women's basketball team. He has three children.
